Music & Family!!!
This topic is about to be so much fun. For me I instantly had a few people come into mind but of course I'm going to go with one of my favorite people on this earth. Not only to me is this person just awesome in all that he does but he is also a God-fearing, Husband, Father, Leader, Singer/song writer, and let's not forget musician. This man I will be choosing to interview is no other than Mr. Andre Johnson, who so happen to also be my Pops. It didn't take long for me to minimize it to one person, and let me tell you why!
To me Yes, Andre Johnson is my father but he is also one of the main reasons why I'm so in love with music till this day. He is also why I even started playing the saxophone which is my prime instrument and when I was younger I would watch pops play sometimes. The very saxophone he used to play, was my very first sax that I played for about 4-5 years. Growing up in a house hold of four, I can truly say me and all my siblings looked up to my dad for many things but especially his musical talents. We've seen him play multiple instruments from woodwind, brass, percussion, and let's not forget the keys.
I honestly could go on and on about how great of a talented musician my dad is and I'm so excited to tap into this interview. I'm excited to pick his brain and get him to even thinking back to answer some of these questions. I'm also looking forward to be able to capture a conversation like this about his passion and upbringing with music, because we often talk about these things but it honestly have been a minute and this time I'll be able to keep it for old time sake. One more thing before jumping into "Music & Family", I would love to recognize one of my dad's Big Music accomplishments. His Gospel song "Trouble Don't Last Always". Just want to give you a chance to see how great he is as well.
